The Wedding Photo Booth
Sure, there are other things that may need addressing before the photo booth. The bride… check. The groom…. check. And maybe the rings. But as far as we’re concerned, the photo booth should never be last on your list of budgeted items and here’s why.
If we’re being honest, periods during the wedding day can become a bit stale. Case in point, the wedding reception. Wedding receptions tend to follow the same traditions of cake cutting, garter toss, bouquet toss, and first dance. Sure, these traditions are tested and true but we need to add some spice to the reception roster. Lets take a few moments to detail why a photo booth is fun and faboulous for your guest, and why it is a must have for your wedding date.
Entertainment
We need to break some of that monotony of the wedding reception and make sure it doesn’t become a snooze fest. Yes, the open bar is terrific, trust us, we know. But one of main reasons you’ll want to have a photo booth at your wedding reception is that it offers an amazing source of entertainment for your guests. While you’re out taking your photos with your new bride or groom and wedding party, your guest are back at the reception in a room with other strangers engaging in awkward conversations and checking their phones every five minutes trying to pass the time. Why not entertain your guest during the cocktail hour while they await your return?! They will appreciate the opportunity to interact with one anohter in a fun and amusing way while taking photos.
If your reception is like any of the others, there will be guest of all ages in attendance. Everyone, regardless of age, will enjoy taking silly photos with fun photo booth props!
And if the following thought has ever crossed your mind. Will guests really use the photo booth? Is it really going to be worth the cost? Would people rather be dancing than taking picutures in the booth? The emphatic answer to this question is YES!! Remember that open bar we mentioned earlier?? This is where those cocktails start to pay off with epic silly photos and memories. The photo booth will likely be the hit of the reception.
Wedding Favors
So here’s one less item for you to worry about. The wedding favors. Think of the time and effort so many have put into purchasing and creating wedding favors just to be thrown away by their guest. We’re all guilty. We’ve left them on tables, in the hotel room. So how about a favour they will be sure to keep. Your wedding guest will go home with their own personalized photo of the day that could include text of you thanking them for sharing your special day with you.
A cool idea would be to give each guest an empty photo frame with a note to go to the photo booth where they can take a photo and place inside their photo frame. This serves as a great memento for your guest and avoids the need to offer any other wedding favors.
